Karen,

Thanks for the nice comments.  Actually, I never even LISTENED to Rod Stewart's version.  I just went the the piano roll I have.  I actually did slow the tempo down a bit, but if it was any slower, it wouldn't have sounded good at all.

Hi Peeps... I'm sorry, I was flat on my back, totally out of action yesterday... can't remember the last time that happened ... but there you go.

I'm upright now and argggh playlist - need to get going - again fantastic songs being added - Bruce, you always come up with great themes... now, if only I could find some time and decide... Terry - you keep nicking all the best ones, as per usual, heh.

I might have found something... but... not yet LOL

Beautiful sunshine here today... gotta get that tax form done, somehow... so I'll be scarce today (and badger you to bits just after midnight - Ooo badger, badger, badger, badger, mushroom ... mushroom?  Mmmm haven't eaten in a long while) - hope to pop in now and then though if I can, to grab a song or two.

Walt, have a fantastic time away... haven't read everything here yet... just breathing deeply and taking my time in trying to stay vertical?

EDIT:  Did you know the word 'gorgeous' doesn't rhyme with anything?  Random fact that... I was searching a rhyming dictionary and it told me so... how bad is that? GRRR.  The English language sucks, I'll just have to go and make one up then!

EDIT AGAIN:  Yes, I know what you're thinking, I just said I was doing my tax form and yes, flattery will get me round the tax inspector!   :)  Because he's gorgeous of course! Heh, but I have to be cryptic... along with the tenner I slip in the envelope... hang on, I do it online grrr... how does one slip a tenner to one's taxman this way?  Hmm?

Got my piping hot cuppa joe (piping hot because I'm out of cream, grrrrrrr!) and am enjoying the songs so much. I have no song in this challenge-again-and am really trying to work on that. But for now, I'm happy just listening to you guys, and annoying my neighbor by practicing my singing all over the house.  :D :D

I'm off....

xxoo

^^Hi Chuck!^^

Well, I've been trying to record! My antivirus software is churning away in the background, and mucking up the works. I do have an old one that I did way back in 2007--one of my favorite songs. This won a Grammy back in 1968.

Ode To Billy Joe

Good Sunday!!! The time on here confuses me. Now I know how my SS friends feel about the time on our U.S. servers.

Everything on the ground is covered with a thick coat of ice here. Let's see.... metric... 38mm of sleet started melting then froze, add 12mm snow and we have a good day to stay home!!

Don't think I'll get to listen to everyone, (sorry) but all I've heard are impressive!! Quite a group here!!

I was gonna sing Blame It On the Rain by Milli Vanilli but I couldn't find anyone to sing for me.

Just get someone to lipsync it. It will be very authentic.

Hello Catskill!  I live and love to confuse you... yeah, you're based in the UK now :D  In Scotland, where the sun won't be long in going down again ...  ;)

You can change the time to your personal preference by going:  Profile>Look And Layout ... Time Format/Time Offset... The board is set to GMT so NY is usually 5 years?  5 hours out and California way 8 hours give or take the daylight saving hours whenever they be...

No No No, I wanted to lipsync it, that's why I needed someone to actually sing it.

So sorry I missed this challenge.  With craziness at work and my computer problems, I have been a busy girl.  It is probably too late to post a song, but I will have a listen to some songs on the list.

Welcome to the EAW family Catskill :)

Hey everybody!   Hope all had a great weekend!  I'm working my way through the playlist and keeping my fingers crossed that I get through it by Tuesday.  Been very busy and wearing myself out in the process.

Loving everything I've heard; what a great challenge, Bruce!

How wonderful to see Jubi on cam and sounding so perfectly sweet!

And Janet...taxes, eeeeh!!!  So far all I've done is think about how difficult it's going to be for me this year with all these medical expenses.  I've got a year or more of paperwork stacked up that I can only look at and that creep back to my bed!  It's too overwhelming!

Might be getting the splint off my arm at least for short periods when I see the orthopaedic surgeon week after next...I'm so sick of living with it, it's 6  months now!

Watching the grammy's and listening this evening, but not for much longer...this girl's getting mighty sleepy...

See ya's tomorrow, my friends!

Hee hee hee hee.  Nice one Mike!   :D

We're probably having to peel him of the ceiling today after all that adulation.  I hope that's the right word for it.

Hallo everyone... finally I am freeeeee!  Er.    All I gotta do now is close this last year's accounts which ended yesterday ... Oh boy!  I really regret chosing 1st Feb as a start of business year...   ::)

Anyway - the biggest headache is filed, and I'm sleeping in the filing cabinet.  In to find out what's happening here and a few more listens before I get on with my day.

Hope you are all well.  Jacquie, I really feel for you, you're a real trouper and survivor and inspiration to the rest of us who have it so easy.
