My good friends, I hope you'll trust my judgement and allow me to introduce a new member who is a bit timid.  In fact, she admits she has butterflies just thinking about posting her first song here.

But, I think she's got a beautiful voice and that you'll all agree once you hear her.  It just so happens that she's got a Musical theater song in her RK library.  She has given me permission to post it for her with this introduction.

This is Suecaz of Great Britain doing Summertime from Porgy and Bess:

Summertime

I've told her to click Notify here.  Don't know if she's done so to see comments from those who don't belong to RK.  But, all you RK members, please give her a listen.

Thanks.

Hi Gang: Just caught up on my listens and you all sound fantastic. If it seems like I disappeared for a couple of days, it's because I was called out of town on business unexpectedly. This is part of the reason I don't host much more, my schedule is often not my own.

I will be tied up all day and evening tomorrow. So let me offer a big Thank You to all of you for your participation over the past week. Your Musical Theater selections and performances were inspired and a delight to listen to.

Remember, a new Challenge will start tomorrow at 6pm Eastern Daylight Time.

Catch you all again soon.

Regards, Howard

I loved this challenge, Howard! Still making my way down the playlist, and loving everything I hear. I tried to record a second song, but it didn't work out...oh, well. Another time, same theme!  :)

Wow, I'm coming in on the tail end of this challenge.  I won't have time to post, but at least I will have time to sneak in and listen to as many as I can.  I've had so little time lately.  Boy, this theme...  Bruce must be loving this!  Great theme, Howard!

Can't wait to hear YOU!  Your songs are always tremendous.

Hello!  We're having summer here again for the next couple days :D

I started my new class last night.  Great mix of countries.  It promises to keep me pretty busy, but I'm hoping to to squeeze in time here-between those annoying batches of cookies I'm slave to in Yoville.  I may come to hate cookies......naaaa.

Even though I haven't posted anything this time I'll still say thank you to Howard for providing the idea for some great listens and hope to get a few more in.

BTW Janet, I believe I forgot to properly thank you for the last 2 challenges!!  My bad and I humbly submit to the Bendy Ruler of Etiquette.

Peanut butter sandwich and some listens for lunch ;D

Thanks for a great challenge Howard!!  Still listening to some of the last posts, but everyone has been awesome!!

Thanks again to everyone for their Birthday Wishes too!!  This year was one of my best...maybe because it's also going to be my retirement year!!  My last day of work here will be Dec. 30th (after 30 years!).  So, I'll be free, but broke...LOL!  Can't wait!

Howard, this was a truly charmig challenge.

I wish I had a song to contribute, but I just drew a blank.  But then I couldn't have gotten off the roller-coaster called my "crazy life".  I wish things would slow down for me.  Maybe I can catch the next challenge :))

Hello everyone,

I just see that this one is still not locked so I decided to say 'Thank you' to all for the birthday wishes.
I never had chance to visit here by now and reading the words of yours makes me cry & smile at the same time.
I'm so sorry very much that I have not been around and still will be a little more for family matter.
Hopefully I'll be back in November, until then, please take care, everyone. :-)

Many thanks & hugs to you all.
Pinky

^^^  My lovely Pinky... was fun catching you just now and I hope everything goes well for you and your family, we will miss you but always hold you in our thoughts.

Thanks Phil for your kind words too.

I'm off to sunny Edinburgh to buy my wee Johanna a big girl's birthday present... she will be 12 on Wednesday :D  (excited!)

See you later ... leaving a wee hug behind this invisible tree for you all (blush).
