Fortunately, this week's theme allows me to share this one and I hope this song is allowable because it DID start out as mine. But, this link will actually take you to the page of my great duet partner and master harmonizer, peggyjoy. I think this has to be heard with her harmony. At the end, we do a 4 part harmony until the very last note. On that one, I added a 4th part to form a true Barbershop 7th chord and she then added a 5th part.

This is from 1912, written by Percy Weinrich, with lyrics by Edward Madden (who also wrote the lyrics to "By the Light of the Silvery Moon" in 1909). Percy Weinrich hailed from Carthage, MO, but because of that town's proximity to Joplin, he was known as "The Joplin Flash". Tragically, there is nothing in either city today to commemorate the life of this great Tin Pan Alley composer. Besides this song, perhaps his other best known work was "When You Wore a Tulip".

I is traumatised... I decided to take Johanna through to the Fringe tonight - got back about hour ago! But... but... but... by the time we got there, er, there wasn't too much I could take her too as it gets a bit ... *cough* so, I took her to the Bedlam Theatre to see Zemblanity...

Hello everyone !! Walt & Bella looks like a wonderful theme. I wanted to say thanks to Dani & everyone for the very beautiful birthday party & wishes. I left a proper thank-you on the birthday page. I don't know if I can participate in this challenge because for three days I have been working on my computer & can't fix it yet. Looking through a gray shadowed striped screen with bright text. It's attached to all of my opened windows, text, photos etc also. May be my video card as a last resort but not sure yet due to other factors.Tried everything though. Just telling you in case I am not around or can't get back to anyone if I crash, you know why. Hugs K~
