My wonderful co-host will be the lovely, Ally!

This challenge is open to all. It runs from Tuesday June 16th until June 23th 2009 at 6PM EDT.

PLEASE READ THE GUIDELINES AND THEME DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY BEFORE POSTING.

PURPOSE - The purpose of the EAW Music Challenge is to encourage people to create and/or promote new music each week and to give them a forum to have their songs heard. There is no judging involved.

HOW IT WORKS - Every Tuesday at 6PM a topic featuring a new theme will be posted on this board. Those wishing to participate are invited to post links to their songs that match the theme. You may post a song with a link from any online music/singing site you belong to. Over the years a nice little community has sprung up around these challenges. We invite you to participate but be aware that here everyone is very supportive of each other. Amateurs and professionals are both welcome. You do not have to be a great singer to participate. No flaming is allowed on this board. This is not a contest. There is no judging. It is merely an opportunity to hear and be heard by others. You can post or merely listen and interact with the others who post here. Please follow the detailed guidelines which are posted below and at the top of each new challenge thread. Have fun!

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES -

1. Post links to ONE OR TWO songs that fit the theme. You may post a THIRD one on or after Thursday. You may post a FOURTH song link on or after Saturday. Your song can be a new song or one that was previously recorded.

2. . That means, if you post 2 song links you should listen to 12 others over the course of the 7 days of the challenge, a little less than 2 a day. If you post 3 song links, listen to 18 others and so on. You may, of course, listen to more if you choose. Listening is the most important part of this challengename of your song. For easy instructions on how to HOT LINK and post your song title, click EAW FAQ.

7. Please do not post glitter or large graphics as feedback or in the thread. Please keep to the standard font, size and color that is already provided - this helps prevent your songs and comments from getting lost in a sea of shifting fonts and colors. For your song title only, use 14pt font size and bold. This will help your song stand out. For more information on how to do this, check the EAW FAQ.

The theme for this challenge is: "The Mood Theme".

Sing a song or songs of the way you are feeling. Or, a song that makes you mellow and relaxed, happy or cheerful. Or you can sing a song that relieves pressure. "Get it out!" (just don't bite my head off..ha ha) You get the picture..go with the flow. Whatever floats your boat! It's your mood. Lets see what great songs you come up with. Have fun!!!

To start you all off I have posted my mood song. My mood is: "I'm in the mood for Love" - Maybe I'll sing that one too!

I'M IN THE MOOD FOR LOVE reminds me of The Little Rascals when Darla sang that song to was it, Alfalfa? Tee hee

My chosen song is "Midnight At The Oasis"

I'm off to dry my hair and er er er - 'stuff', be back in a little while to catch up with last challenge and this. Finally up to date with the salvage job.

OMG..Moods??? Moods??? Sheesh..with that "Progative" thing you women got, that frick'n MODIFY button gonna get wore out...hate to be the one keeping the playlist this week LOL ...songs may change by the hour!!

HMMM, I have two moods..sleepy and hungry....now I can't sing when I am sleep'n...and I can 't sing wif my mouf full....what a dilima!!

Hellooooooooooooooooooooooo!

I was on my way to bed after squeezing my brain during ALL the evening to come up with some words for my next assignment AND thought of popping in to see who and what about etc etc etc and to see if i could participate this week on the challenge and WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!

I can put one song in, one that i recorded not so long ago and made me feel VERY happy cuz made me remember old venezuelan karaoke nights, friends and stuff

Howdy.

I'm in the mood for sleeping and resting
(so what else is new?)
My body is hurting from two days of hiking
and one day of lifting canoes and paddling
and my legs hurt, my back hurts
my wrists hurt, my head hurts......

Normally that would mean I could sing a song about hurting
but in this case the song may turn out to be no song at all
as I am toast right now.

Things may change as the challenge moves along
but for this evening
I'm in the mood for recovering and not singing.
