Hello everyone... another absolutely glorious day here today - no idea where they are all coming from but hey isn't Spring wonderful?

:D

Tommy... I have a song, I have a song... that was the good news - the bad news is, I can't record it  >:(  Snap just won't connect for me!  I wait and I wait and I stare sweetly at my screen, then I scowl and then... you don't want to know!  Huh.

I hope it is just my connection and maybe later tonight I'll have a bit of luck, when the beautiful sunshine has all disappeared GRRR.  Going down now, hang on, no that's a big grey cloud, wha????

:D  Got to make dinner now - be back later - I hope!   ;)

Hallooo my beauties!

Nice list going there.  I'll get to listening a little later.  I have a couple appointments.

SS was toying with me yesterday, Janet.  The songs in recording mode wouldn't
completely load.

Have a good day everyone!

Hi Everyone!  I found another to share (I'm at work, so can't sing--boohoo)!  Was thinking that this happens a lot in basketball -- people "collide", right?  I know, it's a stretch....lol!

This was my first exposure to this song and I really liked it after I heard it!

OOPS!  It's up now.

For the other part of the theme, a song from high school or college that holds sweet memories, I have to say that 60's folk music was very dear to me.  A couple of friends and I used to go to a village in the burbs west of Philadelphia called Bryn Mawr to a tiny coffeehouse called The Main Point, which  featured folk artists on a little platform in front of the tables.  Not Dylan or Baez, of course, but some very well-known names at the time who had albums out performed there.

Hey gang. I hope you'll forgive me for not being too active in this challenge. It's a hectic week full of meetings and when I'm here I've been trying to work on things for the site. I hope you enjoy all the things we bring you and hope to bring you in the future.

I'll definitely get around to doing some more listening here over the next few days. But, in the meantime, let me say thanks to Tommy for a cool idea and to all of you who have quickly made this site worth being part of.

Hello eveyrone !

I remember I danced to this song when I was in high school, actually it was the original version of this song by the "Shocking Blue".
But I recorded Bananarama version this time. I added the original version on my song page, so if you have time, please enjoy it, too.

Venus

Have a wonderful day !  ;D

Well, when I was in High School, we always had a "Big Dance" after the games..the fun was finding a date who would go with you.  Well I found a date to bring here to this Dance...and her name is Hedy..known on Singsnap as Brown_eyed Sistah2..I join her for this dance called

Ha! I've read the posts up to here. Okay, some that was in itty-bitty font I kinda skimmed.

I haven't felt much like singing; been struggling with allergies and I've lost the method I used to get my listens done.  When I figure out how to get back to my methodical methodolgy, I'll figure on something to post :)

Miss you guys; love the site but I'm still a bit lost when I get here.  Yeah, I know: Use it more and it will be second-nature.

Modified 'cause purple AND big was a bit too much.

Great theme Tommy!  I love the Big Dance and have even been to a Final Four and still have the t-shirt!

My song is a newly recorded version of Bruce Springsteen's GLORY DAYS

I know the sport mentioned in the song is baseball rather than basketball, but it was popular when I was an undergraduate student at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.  Sadly, BGSU is not a basketball school, so I usually root for Ohio State in the tournament.  Since they fell in the first round to Utah, the excitement is already over for me this year.  Boo Hoo!

Well gang, I finally got some time to do some listening. And, also discovered I can listen while creating the quizzes, so that's convenient!

Great stuff that I've heard so far in this challenge. Gonna take a break now but I'll be back.

I haven't had the opportunity to sing lately; my husband's schedule was changed so that he works from home ALL THE TIME NOW!  I don't mind recording when he's around (actually he can be a good critic, when asked) but he and his office are in constant contact so the phone is always ringing - recordis interruptus, as Layla and I say - and plus, he puts on the speaker phone so he can type at the same time.  I won't bore you with details, but we can't seem to work around this, so singing is definitely curtailed for me.  Anyway, I went to my pre-records to see if there was anything appropriate, and what I found was Chair Dancin'.  And then I noticed the date I originally recorded that parody- and it's been exactly one year to the day!!  So even though many of you have heard it before, I just had to post it again!
